Broadcasting Today - Schools Edition

Join us on 1 November for Broadcasting Today, hosted by Kurt Barling. Broadcasting Today is a series of evening talks, ran by our media students throughout the academic year.

The schools edition includes a welcome and subject talk, a chance to explore the campus and view the specialist facilities on offer for Journalism and Television and Production students, such as the TV studios, television newsroom and editing equipment. This event is for Year 12 students with a keen interest or desire to study Journalism and/or Television Production at university. To book your students on to this exciting event please contact us by Friday 7 October. Places are available for between 5 to 10 students per institution.

Hidden Heroes

Just a few months remain to bring the Hidden Heroes: Soldiers of the Empire exhibition to your school.

The mobile exhibition, developed by Middlesex media students in collaboration with Eastside Community Heritage, gives young people the opportunity to discover the previously untold stories of ethnic minority soldiers during the First World War.

To arrange a free visit from the Hidden Heroes exhibition please contact us.

How to be a language detective

This workshop for AS/A2 English language students introduces some of the methods used by linguists in solving puzzles about language and language use. Attendees will also explore how these methods can be applied in real-life investigations.

Workshops are delivered in your school, and provide an opportunity for students to experience university teaching methods and get a sense of how research questions are explored at university level.

To book a workshop, or further information, please contact us.

Undergraduate Open Day

Open days are a perfect opportunity for students to explore our outstanding facilities and get a feel for university life.

They also provide opportunities to meet staff and current students as well as to ask questions about courses and subjects such as admissions, fees, funding and finding accommodation.

Your students can register for our open days here.
