Mathematics is about spotting patterns and developing a clear understanding of complex situations. We offer a variety of workshops designed to introduce pupils to ways of understanding and formulating problems by getting them to work in groups in engaging, fun and hands-on activities.
In these workshops for students in year 12 we will explore what mathematics is, what it is that mathematicians accomplish, and how to think like a mathematician.

The UCAS tariff is changing. The biggest change is that AS levels are now positioned as 40%, rather than 50% of an A-Level. The UCAS website has a range of resources explaining the changes and how they might impact students.
At Middlesex we will be moving away from using the tariff point system, and will begin using grades in our offer and decision-making. This is so we can ensure that our entry requirements are as clear as possible, and can be more easily related to the qualification profiles of prospective students.
