Principal's Corner

Al-Hadi Parents, Assalaamu alaikum,

We truly appreciate your support, cooperation and patience in these first few weeks of school as the entire Al-Hadi staff and faculty worked relentlessly to make the school year begin well for all our students. I want to personally thank many of you who emailed or stopped by with suggestions for how to make dismissal time more smooth and time effective. Alhamdulillah, we have finally set procedures in place which will allow us to complete dismissal within 25-30 minutes or less, if there is no violation.

In order for us to implement these procedures, it is imperative that parents follow the following guidelines:

  • Please help your child/children memorize and remember their dismissal ID. It saves time when ONE number is called instead of several names.
  • Put your cell phone away. Per state law, use of cell phones is prohibited in school areas where children are present.
  • The dismissal number should be clearly displayed on the dashboard or taped to the window.
  • Cars driving South on Voss need to drive further down on Voss and make a U turn to join the queue of cars lined up on Voss Rd. Do not cut across Voss, as this disrupts the flow of traffic entering the school from the carpool lane.
  • Follow the car queue to the pick-up point.
  • Stay in line and wait for your turn.
  • If you wish to enter the building, park your car in the garage and enter the school from the front door. Parents are not allowed on the second floor during dismissal time.
  • Parents may not leave their cars to collect their children from their classroom. This delays the flow of traffic.
  • Please do not park in the visitor parking area as it disrupts in-coming and out- going traffic.
  • To ensure the safety of our children, please do not drive on the zebra lines along the playground fence. This space is used by children to walk to their cars.
  • Walk-in parents should give their children's names and dismissal numbers to the front office. The children will be called to the front lobby and parents can pick them up from there. If you'll be walking home with your child every day, please let the office know so that we can arrange for your child to be sent to the front office every day at dismissal time.

Thank you so much for your continued support and cooperation. We look forward to a great and an exciting year.
