ACF Annual Camps
Adult Army Cadet Instructors
The camps are the highlight of the year for many cadets and instructors, as it allows them to engage in activities that they wouldn't normally be able to experience back home.
It's also a time for forming new friendships as the whole county comes together for a fortnight. This year, across all of East Anglia, 1,407 cadets and 499 instructors took part in Annual Camp.
Both the Chief Executive and the Deputy Chief Executive of East Anglia RFCA visited all five summer camps, zigzagging around 1,500 miles around the country in the process.
Adult instructors receive training and remuneration for 10 days of fun and activity. They live and train on site, with full board and accomodation provided.
They have all returned now, having taught the cadets new skills, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Employers visit their CFAV staff at Annual Camp
Employers at Annual Camp
The visitors, from Essex County Council and Ford of Britain, were shown how to load a magazine by a junior cadet.
By taking part in some activities, and seeing for the first time their employees instructing cadets, the bosses could better understand that all activities build on teamwork, leadership, skills and discipline.
They practiced shooting on a simulator (Dismounted Close Combat Trainer) and in a paintballing exercise patrolling in an actual urban environment located in the grounds of the camp.
Employers were invited to visit their CFAV employees during the Army Cadets' Annual Camp by Regional Employer Engagement Director, Kristina Carrington.
